Daniel Forgy, Policy and Advocacy Intern

Daniel is currently a student studying Political Science and Economics at the George Washington University. Originally from Mountain View, California, he has previously interned for the Congressional District Office of Congressman Ro Khanna. His experience as an intern in Congressman Khanna’s office gave him invaluable insight into the inner workings of government at the federal level. In addition, Daniel has held leadership positions within his fraternity, including serving as the chapter’s Alumni Chair, which gave him experience in creating and distributing newsletters, as well as in soliciting donations and carrying out fundraisers. Although this is his first experience working for a grassroots charity organization like USASOA, Daniel has dedicated time to other charitable causes in the past. In High School he spent his Summers’ in the Dominican Republic where he worked with the Global Leadership Adventures program to build vertical gardens with the local community in order to help promote sustainable agricultural practices. With a legacy of armed service in his family history, Daniel sees the importance in helping all of those who have sacrificed so much for this country and is excited to be a part of United Soldiers and Sailors of America.
