USASOA's BOOTS ON THE GROUND is a grassroots campaign that serves and accomplishes two vital components of the overall USASOA mission. First, it raises awareness among the American people to the current struggle for essential goods and services that many of our ill, injured and wounded and their families encounter. BOTG is also an actual collection drive to gather those various, needed basic items and nonperishable goods for our wounded veterans and their families in need, Many of the items and goods we collect are then distributed to our wounded during our monthly BBQ FOR OUR HEROES event at Walter Reed Military Hospital and through the American Red Cross Stations located within our military hospitals.  USASOA also operates an online Amazon Store where our wounded and their families may log on and order the items they need which are then shipped to them often the next day.
