The USASOA Fall Line Up Of Programs and Services
As USASOA continues to grow and expand while remaining ever relevant to the changing needs of our wounded veteran community, we strive to fulfill our mission by raising awareness and of course, much-needed funding to support our programs and services. The success of our mission is directly related to the convergence of our energetic volunteers and of those donors and supporters who truly understand that our veterans are our greatest national treasures.
This past weekend alone, USASOA was represented on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC as ardent advocates for the veteran community, held a monthly Boots On The Ground drive to collect items and resources for our wounded and their families in need as well as organized and held our monthly BBQ FOR OUR HEROES program at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland for our ill, injured and wounded service members. Many of our other programs and services can be found here in our web site on our events page.
Instead of creating our program or service in the hope of responding to a specific need within the veteran community to fit the needs of our veterans and their families, we develop our initiatives based on uncovering and serving their existing needs and desires. So many of our marginalized and 'at-risk' veterans have incredibly diverse and often, entangled needs and not one organization can possibly handle that myriad of complications. In those cases, and as a way to ensure that those particular veterans receive the mental and physical care that they need, we work with other organizations to affect a positive outcome for them.
To that end, we look forward to partnering with any organization that strive to have a direct and meaningful impact on the quality of life for veterans - especially our ill, injured and wounded who have given so much for the defense of our nation and to protect our cherished freedoms.
