Homeless and Elderly Veterans Outreach Program - Sandwich Saturdays

SANDWICH SATURDAYS

On Saturday mornings, our wonderful volunteers gather in the kitchen of our Capitol Hill office to prepare sandwiches, snacks and water to homeless veterans on the streets. Our mission extends beyond providing food and water; we aim to offer the care, compassion, and comfort they have rightfully earned and deserve. During the winter, we assemble and distribute 'Winter Survival Kits' and make hot soup to accompany the sandwiches.

FEEDING HOMELESS ELDERLY VETERANS

In addition to our Sandwich Saturdays we also make and serve food to homeless elderly veterans living in a transitional housing unit in Washington, DC. This volunteer opportunity also begins at 10:30 am and ends around 1 pm.
