USASOA Annual Christmas Lunch – Honoring Our Homeless & Elderly Veterans

For United Soldiers and Sailors of America (USASOA), Christmas is more than a season of giving—it is a time to remind our most vulnerable veterans that they are not forgotten. Our Annual Homeless & Elderly Veterans Christmas Lunch brings together veterans who are struggling with homelessness, loneliness, food insecurity, and financial hardship for a warm holiday meal, companionship, and the dignity and compassion they have earned through their service to our nation. This special gathering is part of our year-round Homeless & Elderly Veterans Outreach Program, through which our dedicated volunteers have been providing hot meals, food, toiletries, clothing, and a caring human connection to veterans living on the streets, in shelters, and in transitional housing throughout the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia region since 2013. For many of these veterans, the greatest gift we can offer isn't just a hot meal—it's the reassurance that someone still cares. As we celebrate the Christmas season, we ask our community to remember those who once answered our nation's call and now need us to answer theirs. No veteran should ever feel forgotten, especially at Christmas.
