Because of the partial government shutdown, more than 41,000 active-duty and activated reservists, USCG paychecks may not be avail on the scheduled military payday of February 27, 2026. USASOA’s FOOD FOR TROOPS program is holding a special food distribution for the families who may not be receiving a paycheck, Two weeks ago, our FOOD FOR TROOPS program held a food distribution for all active-duty military families and we are planning another major distribution event in March. However, this food distribution event will help military families who may in fact go without a paycheck on February 27th.

TO ALL ACTIVE-DUTY AND ACTIVATED RESERVISTS OF THE USCG AND THIER FAMILIES, PLEASE SEN US AN EMAIL AT FOODFORTROOPS@USASOA.ORG TO REGISTER FOR THIS DISTRIBTUIONB EVENT AND WE WILL SEND YOU THE INFORMATION EEDED TO ATTEND.

We are currently reaching out to USCG command at the various Coast Guard Stations in the DMV to alert them to the food distribution event.
