I am a former Marine Officer, serving on active duty from 2006 to 2012. I did one and a half tours in Iraq in 2008 and 2009. In 2009 I was medevaced to and subsequently stationed at Walter Reed Military Medical Center to receive full time out-patient care. White awaiting my medical board results, I took work with the Department of Justice, INTERPOL Office, and later at HQMC working in the Division of Public Affairs, Community Relations office. Upon my retirement from the Marine Corps I worked for a Federal Contracting firm in business operations until leaving for graduate school in 2019.
Working with a national veteran non-profit group, I organized the first and second Washington DC hike events for suicide awareness and prevention in 2017 and 2018. I raised over $5,000 in donations in 2017, much of which carried over to the hike in 2018.
My education includes an undergraduate degree in landscape architecture from the University of Illinois earned in 2006 and a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in Corporate Finance, Marketing, and, Business Strategy earned in 2021.
